Workforce Development Strategy

One of the most critical elements of the NTF initiative is the ability to develop and implement an efficient workforce development and certification process for mental health professionals. The identification and development of the curriculum is focused, comprehensive and foundational. The professional advancement of individuals in this space is carefully planned, processed and scaled to effectively meet the needs of the market. Hence, ongoing flexibility and programming is required to offer a long-term solution. 


The complexity of a successful workforce development effort includes participant onboarding, compensation, training, testing, speed to market and ongoing sustainability and scalability. The ultimate solution is delivered in multiple settings, i.e. virtual, in-person and hybrid formats, however, the initial curriculum is focused on a virtual delivery model for training and development. 


Workforce Development Tactics 


  • Create and identify participant curriculum and process for efficient certification of pipeline of participants to mental health professionals.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with organizations engaged in the educational and credentialing process of mental health professional for continuous insight into the industry transitions and best-in-practice workforce development options. 
  • Create, identify and leverage participant assessment tools and educational curriculum for quality training and efficient certification processes for a diverse pipeline of participants.
  • Implement and leverage technology tracking for participants, placements, training and certification levels.
  • Identify participant requirements for NTF participation.
  • Develop an effective on-boarding process for participants to enter training.
  • Develop a scalable and replicable process to manage the day-to-day training operations for orientating and transitioning participants to community engagement.
  • Identify the platform/delivery tool and partner for training participants which includes effective training materials.
